☁️ Floating Caption Overview

Floating captions are when you have "picture-in-picture" through Ava Mobile, allowing you to caption everything from YouTube to TikTok to Spotify 🙌

🏁 Activate Floating Captions

To activate the closed captioning banner, open the Ava app (or download it for free here), start a conversation and simply swipe from the bottom to the top of the screen with your finger.

↔️ Move Floating Captions

Hold down the floating Captions by pressing and move it across the screen, then release to retain the position. Please note that the banner can only be moved to one of the four corners of the screen.

🙈 Hide/show Floating Captions

You can hide the captioning banner on the left or right edge of the screen by dragging it to either edge. To make the captioning banner reappear, simply touch the arrow :

🎥 Captioning an online video

To get a live transcription of a video on Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Spotify or elsewhere, just open the app and Ava will start subtitling the video! (Don't forget to turn up the volume so that Ava can "listen" to the video's audio) :

🎙️ Muting the microphone

To mute the microphone, simply press the ⏹ icon on the Ava subtitle banner. To unmute, simply press the icon ▶️.

🙅 Close the captioning banner

To return to the Ava application, tap on the subtitling banner to bring up the options, then tap on the icon in the top right-hand corner

To close the Ava application directly from the captioning banner, press the X icon in the top left-hand corner:
