Floating Caption Overview

Ava can provide floating captions on your iPhone or iPad, allowing you to caption anything from YouTube to TikTok to Spotify πŸ™Œ Follow along below to learn how!

🚨Note: this can only be used on iOS devices using iOS 15 or higher


🫧 How to Use Floating Captions

  1. Start an Ava conversation
    ​

  2. Swipe up from the bottom of your screen
    ​

  3. Move the Floating Captions by pressing and holding the box and then dragging across the screen. It can only be dragged to one of the four corners of your screen
    ​

  4. Open another app such as Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram, and Ava will start captioning the video.

✍🏼 Tip: have the volume up for Ava to "listen" to the audio

🚨 Note: To mute the microphone, simply hit the ⏹ icon on Ava. To unmute, hit the ▢️ icon:

There are a few ways to close your Floating Captions:

  1. Tap on the captions box and then tap on the X icon on the top left

  2. Return to the Ava app
    ​

  3. Force Quit the Ava App by swiping up on your screen and swiping up on Ava
