Need to cancel a Scribe request? See if you still have time!

Have you ever requested a Scribe for an upcoming class or conference only for it to be cancelled? Keep reading to learn about our cancellation policy!

🎊 Cancel 12+ hours before the session - 0% of Scribe credits are used

⏳ Cancel 5 minutes to 12 hours before the session - 50% of Scribe credits are used

❌ No-Show (or failure to request Scribe) - 100% of Scribe credits are used

Example Scenario:

You book a 2 hour Scribe session for an upcoming class but extreme weather is coming your way. Your professor cancels class for the week so you won't need the Scribe! If you:

  • Remember you had a Scribe requested for this class so you cancel 16 hours before the requested time. 0 minutes are deducted from your total purchased Scribe time.

  • Almost forgot you had a Scribe requested and cancel 3 hours before the requested time. 60 minutes are deducted from your total purchased Scribe time.

  • Completely forgot you had a Scribe requested and failed to cancel the request. 120 minutes are deducted from your total purchased Scribe time.

What if my meeting or class lasts longer than my reservation?

  • If my session lasts longer than the initial reservation time, Scribe will remain within the limits of its availability.

  • You can "remove" the Scribe at any time: this stops the use of credits.

  • The remaining credits will be used in the event of an overrun.

  • If there are no more credits available and your account is overrun, an overrun invoice will be sent, and you will need to recharge your account to be able to book your Scribe hours again.
