How to change the settings in a conversation

Learn how to change microphone, accuracy, and language settings in a conversation.

Access the conversation settings by pressing on the gear icon ⚙️on the top right of your screen. 

📱 Start Picture-in-Picture: The floating Ava banner will appear to let you subtitle a video while watching it on your mobile.

Dark mode: Allows you to change the background color of the application. Available in dark (the check mark must be green) or light (the check mark must be white).

🎤 Microphone: Allows you to select the microphone you need for your subtitles. By default, the selection is on your device, so Ava will use the microphone on your smartphone, for example.

Spoken language: this is the language you'll speak when Ava subtitles you. With this setting, you can change the language Ava translates into, and even choose your specific accent. See the languages Ava knows here.

Translation into *chosen language*: This is the language you want Ava to translate into. Learn how to translate a language in Ava here.

Ava Voice: The voice you want Ava to use to dictate what you write!

Conversation mode: You can choose who can join and interact with the transcription.

More settings: You can choose from a wide range of other settings, such as adding words to your dictionary, using the curse word filter or modifying your avaname.
