Using Ava Voice on your mobile
How to select a voice
Press the profile icon 🙎 in the bottom left-hand corner.
Click on ⚙️ Settings
Under the Profile section, press 🔈 Voice settings: Ava Voice
Choose a voice option between Professional, Friendly, Objective, Male, Female or Neutral that suits you.
How to use Ava Voice in a Conversation
Tap on the ⌨️ keyboard icon ''Type'' in the bottom right-hand corner.
Write your message on your keyboard.
Make sure the 🔈 voice icon is enabled (if disabled, it's grayed out instead of blue).
Press the send button to have Ava voice your response
You can also write your sentence and press the two arrows to make it appear in full screen, or press the eraser icon to erase what you were writing.
How to Change the Ava Voice Option in a Conversation
Tap on the ⌨️ keyboard icon in the bottom-right corner
Type your response on your keyboard
Press and hold the 🔈voice icon
Choose a voice option between Professional, Friendly, Objective, Male, Female, or Neutral that suits you and click Done
How to Add More Voice Options
Go to your iPhone Settings > Accessibility > Spoken Content > Voices
Choose your preferred language
Choose a new voice option
Click on the ☁️ Cloud icon to download the new voice
The new voice will show up in your Ava Voice Settings
How to Add Your Personal Voice
⚠️ You must have a Personal Voice on your iPhone to add it to Ava
To create a Personal Voice, go to your iPhone Settings > Accessibility > Personal Voice > Create a Personal Voice
Allow Ava to use your Personal Voice by going to your iPhone Settings > Accessibility > Personal Voice > toggle the "Allow Apps to Request to Use"
In Ava, there will be a pop-up asking to allow your personal voice. Click "Allow"
Then in the 🔈 Ava Voice Settings, you will also see the toggle to permit Ava to use your Personal Voice. Please enable that as well
Tips for Ava Voice
Check that the volume of your phone is enabled and to the maximum to be heard.

Using Ava Voice on your PC
How to select a voice
In the left-hand menu, click on ⚙️ Account settings
2. In the ''My Profile'' tab, select a voice type under ''Voice type''.
Using Ava Voice in a conversation
Tap on the ⌨️ keyboard icon in the top right-hand corner.
Write your message on your keyboard.
Make sure the 🔈 voice icon is enabled (if disabled, it's gray instead of blue).
Press Enter to have Ava speak your reply.
How to Change the Ava Voice Option in a Conversation
In the left-hand menu, click on “Select a voice personality”.
Choose a voice option between Confident, Narrative, Neutral, Methodical, Engaging or Calm that suits you and select it.
Adding additional voices to Ava Voice
1. Go to your Mac's Settings > Accessibility > Spoken content
2. In Spoken content, click on the system voice, then on ''Manage Voices...''.
3. Choose your preferred language
4. Choose a new voice option
5. Click on the ☁️ icon to download the new voice.
6. The new voice will appear in the Ava Voice settings.
