How to Add a Scribe on 💻 Ava Web
After starting a conversation & connecting your online meeting to Ava Connect, click the ''🎧 get scribe'' icon in the top right corner.
A pop-up will appear where you can invite a Scribe for now or schedule a Scribe for later.
To invite a Scribe immediately, you must have scheduled a Scribe beforehand. Inviting the Scribe means you are giving the Scribe permission to join your conversation.
By scheduling a Scribe for later, you'll answer a few questions and schedule a Scribe for your next session 🙂
After clicking the "Invite your Scribe now" button, you will see a blue banner at the top that lets you know that the Scribe will join soon.
Note: it could take up to 2-3 minutes for our Scribes to join your conversation
When the Scribe is connected, a green banner at the top will appear, the mic will turn green, and the 🎧 Scribe icon on the bottom left will turn green to indicate that the Scribe is connected.
If you decide you no longer need a Scribe (while the request is still pending), click on the Scribe Profile and click on "Cancel request"
How to Add a Scribe via Mobile
There are a couple of ways to request a Scribe through the Mobile Device:
Method 1: During a Conversation
After starting a conversation, click the 🎧 icon on the bottom right.

Method 2: In Full-Screen Mode
In Full-Screen Mode, tap on the 🎧 Scribe icon on the bottom left and it will automatically invite a scribe
The 🎧 Scribe icon will turn blue and you will see a blue banner.
