🖥️ What is Ava Desktop?

Ava's Desktop App provides captions for media, conference calls, and more! Ava's Desktop App is a versatile captioning box that will overlay your online videos, virtual conference calls, and podcasts! This means you can seamlessly see captions and content at the same time.


🔐 Download & Login to Ava Desktop

  1. Download Ava's Desktop App by clicking here and follow the download settings.

    1. 🚨 Some firewalls may flag it as "harmful" when you try to download. We assure you that it is not going to harm your computer.

  2. Login to your Ava Account or create a new account


*️⃣ The Ava Desktop Widget

Once you download Ava Desktop, you will see this floating Ava Widget. This is how you can start captioning a conversation easy and fast at any point. Learn more here.


💬 Start a Conversation from Ava Desktop

  1. Open your Ava Desktop App

  2. Find the Ava Widget

  3. Click the Ava Logo to start a conversation


⌨️ Using Ava Desktop Keyboard to Respond

You can type your responses directly into Ava Web using the Ava Voice keyboard function.

  1. Start or join a conversation with Ava Desktop

  2. Click on the 💬 keyboard icon in the bottom menu

  3. The Keyboard bar will pop up and you can type your response at the bottom of the page. To send it in the conversation, press enter, or click the ↗️ Send button

  4. 🗣️ If you want Ava to speak for you, click the Voice Toggle and Ava will speak the message you typed!

  5. If this is your first time, you will be directed to select the voice personality that suites you


💡 Ava Desktop Tips & Tricks

  • 🚨 Some firewalls may flag it as "harmful" when you try to download. We assure you that it is not going to harm your computer.

  • To enhance accuracy, make sure to connect a Bluetooth or wired headset with a microphone and that the environment isn't too noisy.

  • If you are using Ava to "listen" to the speech coming out of the speakers, make sure that your computer speakers' volume is set to about medium (too high or too low might make it hard for Ava to decipher speech).
